The MTO Bridlen Programme allows you to design your own unique pair of shoes by selecting from various models, leathers, colours, and details. Bridlen is the brainchild of two seasoned shoemakers, Mr. Hasan and Mr. Watanabe, who merged their expertise to craft classic men's shoes. Bridlen began as an online store in Japan and has grown globally, focusing on factory processes such as 360° channelling and 3D upper attachment. All Bridlen shoes are crafted in Chennai, India, incorporating bespoke elements into their factory-made Goodyear Welted shoes.

Design Information
Bridlen offers sizes UK5-12, including half sizes (EU39-46).
You can select from a variety of leathers and colours for both the upper and lining.
Upper Leather: Calf, Suede, Museum Calf from European tanneries, Shell Cordovan from Japan.
Lining Leather: Various options available depending on the model.
You can choose from different sole types available:
Italian Leather sole
City Rubber sole
Button rubber sole
EVA sole
FJ Baker sole
Main Line Collection:
Bridlen's Main Line collection features classic timeless styles crafted with premium aniline box calf and soft nap suedes. All Bridlen Goodyear welted shoes utilize the 360° Channelling Insole method for a more compact, higher-quality shoe with a direct welt stitch. Unlike standard gemming, Bridlen opts for a thicker insole with a carved holdfast, eliminating the need for a cotton rib. Uppers are attached on the last, shaping the shoe from the start, reducing the need for excessive pressure and heat during the lasting process.
Founder's Line Collection:
This collection pays tribute to Bridlen's founding mission and values by pushing the boundaries of shoemaking. Bridlen aims to introduce new techniques, learn and perfect the craft, and experiment with limited, unique, and rare leathers. Features of this line include higher stitches per inch, tighter sole profiles, and incorporating as many bespoke shoemaking processes as possible into factory-made shoes.
Orders
1. Select Model: Choose from a list of models in Bridlen's catalogue.
2. Choose Last: We carries Bridlen shoes in the Zip, Rui, Deus, and Yama (Boot last) lasts which you can try in-store.
3. Determine Your Size: Bridlen will ask you for the sizes you wear in other brands and suggest based on that information. For local customers, Bridlen offers a sizing fitting and consultation with their shoe retail expert.
4. Select Leather and Colour: Choose the type and colour of leather for your shoes. Options include Calf, Suede, Museum Calf from European tanneries, and Shell Cordovan from Japan.
5. Determine Sole and Details: Decide on the sole type and additional details. Sole options include Italian Leather sole, City Rubber sole, button rubber sole, EVA sole, and FJ Baker sole.
