Classic Wool Trousers in Dugdale New Fine Worsted

Step 1: Waist Measurement

Button up the waistband and have the trouser zipper zipped. Lay the trouser flat and measure the waistband across. Make sure waistband is stretched from end to end while measuring.

Multiply it by 2 to get the total measurement of the waistband. (i.e. 15.25" x 2 = 30.5" total circumference of the waistband)

OR

Measure your waist directly and place measuring tape above the waistband of where your trouser sit.

Step 2: Hip Measurement

Place measuring tape 1" below front pocket and measure across to get hip measurement. Multiply it by 2 to get the total circumference of the hip.

OR

Measure the widest part of your hip directly. Make sure the tape is straight across the hip.

Add 2" of slack to give the final hip measurement.

Step 3: Rise Measurement

Measure from the top of the waistband to the intersection where the inseams meet each other to get the measurement of the front crotch.

Continue measuring from the intersection up to the back waistband to get the total rise measurement. You can also measure from the back waistband to the intersection and add up the front and back rise measurement.

OR

Measure your rise directly. Start from the top of the waistband behind to the top of the waistband in front. Do not pull it too tightly.

Step 4: Thigh Measurement

Lay the trouser on its side and flip up the top side of the trouser. Measure across the thigh and make sure that your measuring tape is perpendicular to the inseam.

Multiply it by 2 to get the total circumference of the thighs.

Step 5: Hem Measurement

Lay your trouser on its side and make sure that the hem is laid flat on the table. If you are measuring a slanted hem, make sure that your measuring tape is perpendicular to the outer seam.

Multiply it by 2 to get the total measurement of the hem.

Step 6: Trouser Length

Measure the length from the top of waistband down to the hem. Ensure the fabric is laid out clean for an accurate measurement.
